My name is Alida and I’m a young female entrepreneur with an Honors degree in Industrial psychology. I’m a wife and mother of two teenage boys, residing in the small town of the Eastern Cape, Aliwal North.

In 20I5, I started Silver Orchid Company, supplying individual beauty services as well as health & beauty related products. Sales and marketing platform at the time was Social Media and word of mouth.

Frustrations that customers experienced with Sunless Tanning products, urged me to search for a solution.  Hard work paid off and a contract between Silver Orchid Company and Moroccantan was signed for exclusive distribution of MoroccanTan within the African Continent.

The pandemic brought forth a change in our shopping habits. With a notable trend in the rise of (DIY) beauty care. 

Heading strong in to 2020, with my thoughts on expanding the skin care range and how to help reduce the harmful UV effects of the sun we South Africans so love basking in and those insisting on getting that summer “Sunkissed Body” holiday tan without considering the use of correct SPF. 

Well hello The Fox Tan!!! This range of Sun tanning/bed products, aimed to significantly reduce the time needed in the sun/ sunbed and best of all, we still get to use our preferred SPF protection.

In 2022, my mission will be to continue building on sun- and skincare beauty products, sourcing you the best and trendy products that the Industry has to offer, and deliver to your doorstep.
